On behalf of the LLS Arizona Chapter, we want to congratulate the winners and runner-up for the Students of the Year Class of 2020.
In second place, Mia Waxman with Miracles in Action from Bioscience High School. And with the most raised, Coast 2 Coast Cures: Lauren Yeung, Sammy Field, and Ella Vitti from Phoenix Country Day and Arcadia High School. Congratulations to all our candidates!
Students of the Year Phoenix kicked off at the Indian School Visitor Center on January 10th, 2020. This was the start of a short but powerful seven week campaign!
The day before Thanksgiving 2016, Lindsey and John Gray received a phone call from their pediatrician: their oldest daughter, Lily, needed to go to the emergency room. Her labs had come back abnormal, and the diagnosis was confirmed the next day: leukemia. This was the beginning of a two and a half year process, for Lily and her family. Today, Lily has been off treatment since February 2019 and her numbers remain normal. The Gray family feels honored to stand with other families in their cancer journey and heal their own hearts.
Join us as we celebrate this year's 2020 candidates and their teams at the Students of the Year Grand Finale. These students have worked diligently to raise funds to support LLS and they deserve this recognition. The night will be filled with great food, entertainment, a silent auction, and more.
