Brianna Torgerson, 2019 Student of the Year

Congratulations to Brianna Torgerson, a sophomore at Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, for earning the title of 2019 Student of the Year.  Brianna raised over $90,000 and received a $2,500 college scholarship.

This year we had three students, Grant Albin, Saunder Strong and Brianna Torgerson, who each raised over $50,000.  In recognition of their achievement, they received the Fundraiser Recognition Award. This award allows them to link the name of a loved one to a current LLS funded research grant.

Additionally, three students received Citizenship Awards based on the effort they displayed during the campaign. Each of these students will receive a $500 college scholarship. The winners were:

Emily Van Dixhorn for Team Leadership
Samantha Kraby for Community Engagement
Courtney Chase for Mission Integration
