Students of the Year is philanthropic leadership development program to support blood cancer research among a group of motivated and dedicated students in communities across the Washington DC Metro Area.  Candidates form powerful fundraising teams and compete in honor of our local hero, Meaghan Kilner, who is a blood cancer survivor. 

The student(s) who have raised the most funds during the seven-week campaign are awarded the prestigious title of Students of the Year for the Washington D.C. community.  The student(s) who have raised the most across the entire US will also be recognized as the national Students of the Year.

For our 2019 Students of the Year campaign, 85 high school students came together to lead 38 teams to raised over $2 million for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission to cure blood cancers. Congratulations to the Students of the Year Class of 2019!
