Meet our 2022 Honored Hero
Liam
Age: 6
Diagnosis: B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
Shortly after Liam’s second birthday, he was in and out of the doctor’s office with ear infections, unexplained fevers, fatigue, and abnormal bruising. He had blood work done and two days later was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
Liam began treatment right away and was put into a very high-risk protocol for treatment because of his bone marrow results and because he did not reach remission in the first 30 days. His treatment was very intense and consisted of five phases which took about a year to get through. Each round consisted of weekly chemotherapy and sedations for injections of chemo into his spine.
Liam entered remission and was in the maintenance phase of treatment consisting of daily chemo pills and monthly clinic visits. We are happy to announce that Liam’s treatment ended in August of 2020!
Liam enjoys playing soccer, watching Cars, and eating peanut butter and banana waffles. He can’t wait to cheer you all on and is grateful for all the fundraising to help kids like him!
