Diagnosis: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

During his junior year of high school, Israel was diagnosed with high-risk B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in August 2018. Once he received the diagnosis he immediately began chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the chemo wasn't helping enough, so they prepared him for a Bone Marrow Transplant. Luckily his younger sister was a near-perfect match, and he received his BMT in February 2019, which put him into remission.

We're so thankful to Israel for being an inspiration for our 2021 class of candidates.

Hobbies: Israel loves all kinds of sports. He's played soccer, basketball, and baseball, just to name a few. His favorite is football, which he started playing when he was 6 years old! His favorite team is the Ravens. When he's not focused on sports, you can find him spending quality time with his friends and family.
