Meet Ali!
On October 6, 2015 at the age of 18, Ali was diagnosed with AML. She spent several months in the hospital enduring several rounds of brutal chemotherapy, full body radiation and a bone marrow transplant. Two years later, Ali was declared in remission and underwent routine biopsies. But on her 21st birthday, she received a call that she had relapsed. After further treatments and a stem cell transplant, Ali once again rang the bell at University Hospitals to announce her remission in June 2018!
Meet Theresa!
In October of 2018, Theresa noticed a bump behind her ear, a rash all over her body and was overcome with extreme exhaustion. As her symptoms got progressively worse, she made a visit to her doctor. By November, she was diagnosed with a form for T-Cell Lymphoma. Theresa underwent a newly approved form of chemotherapy, receiving six rounds with a three week break in between each infusion. In May of 2019, Theresa was declared in remission!
